     ⋅Valacyclovir 500mg 1일 1회 경구요법
    또는
     ⋅Valacyclovir 1g 1일 1회 경구요법 (1년에 10회 이상 재발하는 경우)
    또는
     ⋅Famciclovir 250mg 1일 2회 경구요법
    또는
     ⋅Acyclovir 400mg 1일 2회 경구요법
 
 A   억제요법에 대한 안전성과 효과가 입증된 항바이러스제 투여기간은 다음과 같다.
     ⋅Valacyclovir 1년
     ⋅Famciclovir 4개월
     ⋅Acyclovir 6년

  우리나라의 경우 재발성 성기단순포진의 항바이러스제 억제요법은 건강보험급여 혜택을 받을 수 없다.

*억제요법이 효과적이지만 바이러스의 무증상흘림까지 완전히 억제하지는 못한다.
